If you’ve been stuck in the cycle of starting over every Monday, hiding from pictures, and wondering why nothing ever seems to stick, I want you to know something.
You are not alone.
After coaching hundreds of women, I’ve noticed something interesting. Almost no one comes to me because they’re worried about their cholesterol or fasting insulin. They come because they’re tired. Tired of feeling uncomfortable in their own skin. Tired of promising themselves that this time will be different. Tired of letting their weight hold them back from fully living.
But here’s what surprises me every single time.
The women who experience the greatest transformation rarely tell me that losing 20 pounds was the best part. Instead, they tell me about what happened to them along the way.
If you’ve been searching for a different approach to Christian weight loss, these five changes may be exactly what you’ve been longing for.
If you’re new here, I also encourage you to read my guide to Christian Weight Loss to learn how we approach lasting transformation at Kingdom Fit Moms.
One of the biggest surprises women experience inside Fit Moms Academy is that they finally stop living in the start-over cycle.
So many women believe they need more motivation, more discipline, or the perfect meal plan. But after years of coaching women through this journey, I’ve become convinced that motivation isn’t the problem.
Most women already know what to do.
They know they should eat more protein. They know they need to move their bodies. They know another weekend of giving up won’t help them reach their goals.
The real struggle isn’t knowledge. It’s consistency.
Years of broken promises create a pattern where you stop trusting yourself. Every Monday feels like another fresh start because every weekend feels like another failure.
Inside our community, we focus on rebuilding that trust one small step at a time. Women choose simple habits they know will move them forward, then they stay accountable to those commitments. Over time, they stop seeing health as punishment and start seeing it as stewardship.
The greatest victory isn’t perfection.
It’s becoming the woman who keeps showing up.
Many women think their biggest problem is food.
In reality, food is often carrying responsibilities it was never meant to carry.
Maybe food has become comfort after a stressful day. Maybe it’s your reward. Maybe it’s how you cope with loneliness, overwhelm, or disappointment.
No meal plan can heal that.
When we invite God into the deeper places of our hearts, something begins to change. Instead of turning to food for comfort, we learn to bring our hurts to the One who can actually satisfy our souls.
That doesn’t mean cravings disappear overnight.
But food slowly loses its grip.
You begin walking into restaurants, vacations, work parties, and family gatherings without feeling controlled by what’s on the table. Instead of food making your decisions for you, you begin making intentional choices from a place of freedom.
That is the kind of Christian food freedom so many women are truly searching for.
Most women believe confidence comes after weight loss.
I don’t think that’s true.
Confidence grows when you begin keeping promises to yourself.
When you follow through on the habits you committed to, something shifts inside of you. You start believing that maybe this really is different.
I’ve watched women gain confidence within just a few weeks of joining our Christian weight loss program, long before they’ve reached their goal weight.
They’re meal planning consistently. They’re moving their bodies. They’re spending time with the Lord. They’re making choices that align with the woman they’re becoming.
The scale may still be moving slowly, but their identity is already changing.
They stop asking, “Can I do this?”
Instead they begin saying, “I think I actually can.”
That kind of confidence carries into every area of life.
One of the gifts God has allowed me to bring into this ministry is combining my experience as a physician assistant with biblical coaching.
Many women tell me, “I eat healthy, but I still can’t lose weight.”
When we take a closer look, there’s usually more to the story.
Sometimes it’s poor sleep. Sometimes it’s chronic stress. Sometimes it’s insulin resistance, blood sugar dysregulation, or simply not eating enough protein. Other times it’s years of losing muscle or eating in ways that keep the body from accessing stored fat efficiently.
These aren’t reasons to feel ashamed.
They’re opportunities to make the right adjustments.
Most women aren’t failing.
They simply haven’t been taught what their body actually needs.
As a Christian health coach, I love helping women understand how God designed their bodies to work so they can stop fighting against them and begin working with them.
Most women don’t join a Christian weight loss program because they’re hoping for better cholesterol or healthier lab work. They join because they want to lose weight and finally feel comfortable in their own skin again.
But somewhere along the journey, something unexpected happens. The number on the scale becomes just one small part of a much bigger transformation.
Women tell me their marriages are stronger because they’re no longer hiding behind insecurity. They have more patience with their children because they’re not carrying the constant guilt and shame that once consumed their thoughts.
They stop changing outfits four times before church. They jump into the pool with their kids, hike the trail they used to avoid, and wake up with the energy to spend time with the Lord before the day begins.
They laugh more. They serve more. They show up more fully for the people God has placed in their lives because they’re no longer weighed down by the burden they’ve been carrying for so long.
Over and over again, I hear women say the same thing: “I got my life back.”
And honestly, I’ve never had a woman tell me the best part was simply losing the weight. The best part is that she trusts herself again, believes lasting change is possible, and finally stops fighting herself every single day.
If you’ve seen yourself in this story, I want you to know you’re not alone. Maybe you’re tired of starting over, maybe food still has too much power in your life, or maybe you know exactly what to do but can’t seem to stay consistent.
Friend, you probably don’t need another diet. You probably don’t need more information either. What you need is support, coaching, accountability, and women who will walk beside you instead of letting you fight this battle alone.
That’s exactly why I created Fit Moms Academy. It’s more than a faith based weight loss program. It’s a community where women learn to trust themselves again, invite God into every part of their health journey, and finally lose weight for the last time.
If you’ve spent years believing you’re the problem, I hope you’ll let that lie go today. You are not too far gone, and you are not destined to keep starting over for the rest of your life.
Sometimes the breakthrough you’ve been praying for isn’t another diet or another quick fix. Sometimes it’s simply deciding that you won’t do this alone anymore.
I’d love to walk this journey with you. If you’re ready to pursue health with faith, coaching, and community, learn more about Fit Moms Academy or start by reading my guide to Christian Weight Loss. Your story isn’t over, and I truly believe God has more freedom waiting for you.
