Kingdom Mindset, Weight Loss
March 2026
If you have ever thought, “I should have figured this out by now,” I want you to pause for a moment.
So many women carry quiet shame around their health journey. Years of dieting, starting over, and feeling stuck can make it seem like the story has already been written.
Maybe your body feels different now.
Maybe motivation has come and gone more times than you can count.
Maybe you wonder if it is simply too late to change.
But friend, that is not how God works.
And Cindy’s story is a beautiful reminder of that truth.
Cindy is 61 years old. She has been married for 40 years, raised nine children, and now enjoys life surrounded by more than 30 grandchildren.
Her days are filled with family. Loving on grandkids. Supporting her children. Showing up in the everyday moments that make up a meaningful life.
Like many women, though, her health journey had its own ups and downs.
Earlier in life, weight was not something she worried about much. After pregnancies she would lose the baby weight and move forward.
But over time things began to change.
Her body no longer responded the same way. The cycle many women know so well began to show up.
Lose weight.
Gain some back.
Lose weight again.
Repeat.
For a while it felt like the story might always look that way.
Things shifted after Cindy experienced a knee injury.
As she recovered, she gained weight that became harder to lose. But more than the number on the scale, something else began to stand out to her.
She started noticing women ten or twenty years older who were struggling with mobility, surgeries, and declining health.
And a new question began to form.
What do I want the next 10 or 20 years of my life to look like?
Instead of chasing another quick fix, she started thinking about longevity. Strength. Energy. Being able to stay active with the people she loves.
Her health journey became about stewardship, not just weight loss.
What makes Cindy’s story even more special is that she was not actively searching for weight loss help when she discovered Kingdom Fit Moms.
Her husband had given her AirPods for her birthday, and she began listening to podcasts while doing chores around the house.
One day she heard Kelsey speaking about weight loss in a way that felt different.
It was not about dieting harder.
It was about inviting God into the journey and building habits that actually last.
That message stayed with her.
For months she listened, prayed, and considered whether joining the program might be the next step for her.
Eventually she decided to make the investment in her health.
And that decision became the beginning of something deeper than she expected.
One of the most encouraging parts of Cindy’s story is this.
Her biggest transformation did not begin with dramatic weight loss.
It began with a shift in mindset.
Instead of chasing short bursts of motivation, she began focusing on building a foundation that could support the rest of her life.
Friend, if you are reading this and feeling discouraged because your weight has not changed as quickly as you hoped, I want you to hear this clearly.
The mindset you are building right now is more valuable than any number on the scale.
Because lasting change starts there.
For many women, dieting has become the default way of trying to lose weight.
Strict plans.
Temporary motivation.
A few results.
Then life happens and the cycle begins again.
Cindy realized she did not want another short term solution.
She wanted a lifestyle.
A way of living that would support her health for years to come.
That meant focusing less on perfection and more on daily stewardship.
Another powerful shift in Cindy’s journey was letting go of all or nothing thinking.
You know the pattern.
One off plan meal leads to the thought, “Well, I already messed up today.”
Before long the entire day feels lost.
But now Cindy approaches things differently.
If a moment does not go as planned, she simply resets.
Not tomorrow.
Not next Monday.
Right now.
And friend, that small shift can change everything.
Because consistency is not built through perfection. It is built through returning again and again to the habits that support your health.
One of the most freeing realizations on this journey is understanding that progress does not require perfection.
Many women believe they must do everything right for change to happen.
Perfect meals.
Perfect workouts.
Perfect discipline.
But lasting health rarely grows that way.
Instead, it grows through small choices repeated faithfully.
Choosing real food.
Moving your body.
Returning to your habits even after difficult weeks.
Those choices may feel ordinary, but they create extraordinary change over time.
One of the things Cindy did not expect when she joined Kingdom Fit Moms was the power of community.
She thought she was joining a program.
Instead, she found women who understood the struggle and encouraged one another forward.
Women who prayed together.
Women who reminded each other that God cares about this journey too.
That support became one of the most meaningful parts of the process.
Because health was never meant to be something we carry alone.
If Cindy were sitting across from a woman who felt stuck in her weight loss journey, her advice would be simple.
Start small.
Choose one habit you know you can follow through on.
Practice it consistently.
Then add the next step when you are ready.
Over time those small decisions begin to build a life that feels completely different.
One of the most powerful perspectives Cindy shared is how she thinks about time.
The next ten years are coming whether we prepare for them or not.
The question is what kind of health we will carry into that season.
Will we feel stronger?
More energized?
More confident in our ability to care for the bodies God gave us?
The journey toward that future begins with the choices we make today.
Friend, if you have ever wondered whether it is too late to change your health, let Cindy’s story remind you of something important.
It is not too late.
You are not too far gone.
And the small steps you take today can create a future that looks very different from the past.
God cares about every part of your life, including how you steward your health.
And when you invite Him into the journey, even small changes can become part of something much bigger.
